If you’re in business, you probably didn’t strike out on your own just to spend your time entering numbers in a spreadsheet.
(Not in business? Skip to personal and family services.)
That’s why Kathy’s here.
So you can focus on your customers and your products.
Get tax preparation for any and every situation – federal and all 50 states, plus the territories, for:

Four levels of payroll services.
Diamond level:
Just send us your information any way you like: email, fax, voicemail — even text!
We’ll compile your people’s hours from their time records and compute accurate pay rates. Then we’ll prepare paychecks or make the appropriate direct-deposit transmissions, calculate the right tax deposits and make the actual deposits. We’ll prepare your quarterly and year-end (including employee W-2’s), PLUS your related state and federal unemployment calculations and reporting.
Once we have your information, you don’t lift a finger or spend another minute! It’s all done for you. And while you don’t ever have to worry about payroll again, you will get regular reports on what’s happening — and you’re free to do surprise inspections whenever you like.
Emerald level:
We calculate your tax deposits, prepare your quarterly and year-end reports (including employee W-2’s), and do your unemployment reporting.
Silver level – quarterly service:
We do your quarterly and year-end reports, but no tax deposits.
Bronze level – year-end service:
Employee W-2’s, subcontractor 1099’s and federal unemployment reporting.
A la Carte:
You choose – any or all of the above services.
Going on vacation? Need short-term help on any of the above?
Or, just want to make sure your monthly tax deposits are for the correct amount? Or . . .
Create your own package! Bundle three or more services together and get Bronze level pricing; five or more and get Emerald pricing – and so on. You can even mix in services from bookkeeping below and tax preparation above!
Three levels of bookkeeping.
Diamond:
Send us your check stubs, check register and bank statements (or drop them off if you’re local!)
We do the rest:
- Post receipts and disbursements to a proper chart-of-accounts.
- Reconcile your banks accounts. Do any necessary adjustments.
- And get back to you with compiled financial statements.
With those statements and your government-issued forms, you’re all ready and organized to do your taxes. (Unless you’d rather have us do them. We’d be more than happy to!)
Emerald:
Send us, or drop off, a flash drive with your data from your bookkeeping program. We’ll analyze it and make any adjustments you need, then get back to you with compiled financial statements.
Jade:
Send us or drop off your internally prepared financial statements. We’ll analyze them, make any necessary adjustments and send you an adjustment report.
A la Carte.
You choose – any and/or all of the above services.
Need a bank reconciliation when you’re stuck on a month?
Real financial consulting for your business.
Not the kind where we sell you investment products.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that. In fact, we believe – emphatically – you should have a well-diversified investment portfolio. And we can point you to people who can help you there.
But not here. Not now.
This is business consulting that deals with your finances – Inflows. Outflows. Profits. Losses. The main reasons you chose to run a business instead of a nonprofit.
Need us on your premises?
Imagine hiring a seasoned chief financial officer for your company who you didn’t have to pay a full-time salary – but who still spends a bunch of time on your premises: advising you, handling financial issues on the fly, even preparing you for big meetings.
What would it be like to have her look over big deals in advance, as they come up, so you walk in with your eyes completely open?
So as you move forward, you’ll know the ramifications of taking on a giant partner.
Or an assignment from a Fortune-500 company that doubles your sales, but means you have 30 days to:
- add another shift,
- buy new equipment or
- hire three new people.
(And figure out how to pay for all that, when Corporate America’s favorite trick is extending invoices to 120 days or longer.
You can also get CPA and bookkeeping services on-site.
And, no, we’re not attorneys. But as CPAs, we have the legal authority to file these documents on your behalf:
- Partnership, LP, LLP, LLC formations, Incorporations, SEC registrations.
- Federal Identification Number applications.
- State Tax Registration and Applications.
- IRS and/or State Tax levy resolutions (penalty reductions and/or abatements).
More important, we can help you make the fundamental business decisions that drive what you put on the forms.
Take the first bullet up there – business structure. It’s not just a question of what kind of organization you should have. But of where you want to take your life, first, and then your work.
- Do you want to build a giant corporation and become the kind of CEO who goes on television?
- Or are you primarily a doer – a lover of the art and craft of your business? Is your passion perfecting the state of your art – whether woodworking, auto-body repair, the law or supply-chain automation software – and seeing people’s faces when you’ve improved their lives?
- Or – are you a mix of the two? Could you hand off most of the day-to-day operations, as long as you kept your hand in a few crucial areas?
When you’ve answered that first critical question, you’ll essentially have come up with your personal definition of success.
Then, structuring your business as a legal entity and filling out the right forms is a lot easier. And so is knowing what opportunities to take and which ones to pass up.
And as those opportunities and choice points occur, you may find you need help with a few other things.
Need to know how much your operation’s worth right now?
Our business-valuation process can tell you – and your prospective buyer.
Or did something cross your desk that made you question your company’s health?
Ease your mind (or find the problem and fix it) with our suite of operations-analysis services. Choose Inventory, Cash Flow or Working Capital Analysis – or for real peace of mind, get all three at a Bronze-level package discount.
We’ll go over the results together and map out a plan of action to resolve any issues we find – or your next steps for growth, to make sure everything stays under control on the ground while you reach for the stars.
Personal services.
It seems like every year, our financial lives get more and more complicated. Just when we have less time than ever to deal with them.
They started calling us The Sandwich Generation when we got squeezed between our growing kids and our aging parents. And all we had to worry about was the time it took to take care of two generations.
Now we’re getting squeezed in the wallet. The costs of healthcare and education just keep going up – and Corporate America keeps getting rid of its mid- and upper-level talent across the country. That hits middle-aged people hardest, just when we thought we’d be hitting our peak earning years – and when we needed that money the most.
So, frankly, if you’re not in business now, you may find yourself starting one very soon.
In the meantime, you’ll find we can do all the tax prep for you and your family that we do for businesses.
We’ve developed special expertise in elder care.
So we can help with bill payment, bank reconciliations and in-home health-care payroll.
And we can help with any number of other financial-planning decisions:
When depreciation laws change, they can change the way you buy things and how long you keep them.
Looking to finance a major purchase? We can figure amortization schedules for mortgage loans, business loans, personal loans and more.
And if you’re worried about your job, we can help you through the trauma of registering for unemployment.
Property decisions on your mind?
We can help with:
- Section 1031 tax-free exchanges;
- Lease vs. Buy decisions;
- Alternative real estate financing (We don’t do it, but we know people who do);
- Inheritance implications;
- And more.
Time for retirement planning?
(Trick question. It’s always time for retirement planning. Starting last week, or 20 years ago, depending.)
- When should you start drawing on Social Security?
- Should you opt for a Roth IRA or a traditional one?
- When do you have to start taking money out of an IRA?
- Which is right for you – an IRA or a variable annuity?
And we’ll help get a handle on your whole net worth – including your investments.
Should you cash in stock options now or wait?
Do you need a referral to investment pros? We have great relationships with lots of them – but we don’t take a dime in referral fees or commissions.
Of course, sometimes the best thing you can do for your net worth is get your spending under control. So we’ll help you do a realistic home budget that has just enough fun to help you stick to it.
And as always, we’re happy to answer any other question you might have. Feel free to email it to us now – or just ask the next time we talk.
And the first consultation is FREE!
